Frottage II
Rubbing of the accidental marks on the tables at The Green Table restaurant on the Dartington estate -
Unfortunately it was almost impossible to create rubbings of the historic marks found on the buildings at Dartington due to the degraded surfaces, however the modern table tops of the Green Table restaurant were more amenable

SOLARGRAMS
Created using pinhole cameras placed around the grounds of Dartington Hall for periods between one day and six weeks -
Solargrams (solargraphs) are ephemeral images capturing the track of the sun
Due to the prolonged exposure time they cannot be developed and fixed and will gradually darken and disappear if exposed to light
They are captured through scanning or photography and inverted to create the image -
Solargram pinhole camera
Left in place for six weeks, in front of Higher Close buildings -
Solargram
Created by digitally inverting a solargram negative
Left in place for six weeks - degraded by water that seeped into the camera -
Solargram - negative
Created with a pinhole camera left under a primula plant for 24 hours -
Solargram - positive
Created by digitally inverting the negative -
